A Message from the Founders of Shabbat.com:

Dear Shabbat.com Members,
We thank the Almighty for allowing us to reach this next stage in our growth this High Holiday season.
Looking back at our first year and a half, we stand in awe of you, our Jewish brothers and sisters, and your kindness and openness in welcoming others from all walks of life into your homes and hearts. Our celebration is not for a website, but rather, for it's users who yearn to connect, embrace, and celebrate with every Jew around the world regardless of background and denomination.

We now look ahead, and the future looks bright indeed! In the next few weeks we will be unveiling a new Shabbat.com Matchmaking interface (with an amazing surprise announcement) which is sure to generate real excitement, as well as our new 3.0 version, which will give you some serious connection power in the Jewish world!

But our greatest resource remains you, our dear users. Your feedback, critiques, and suggestions are taken seriously. We are all wandering into unchartered territory, connecting the Jewish people in our own social network for the first time in history. And we can't do it without you. So stay in touch, send your blessings and good wishes, and please remain our lifelong advocates and partners in recapturing that beautiful, holy "Day of Rest and Peace" for all Jewish people on Earth.

Shana Tova U'metuka – Have a Sweet and Prosperous Year,

Benzion Klatzko

PAL Football Grizzlies shut out Fairfield for second win

Friday, September 30th, 2011

NORWALK – Norwalk PAL Grizzlies 8th graders overcome a fiesty Fairfield 8th grade football team in recent Fairfield County Football League play.

The Grizzlies controlled the ball for most of the game but had problems in the red zone. The Grizzlie offense was led by quarterbacks Tyler McMillian and Greg Goldstein. Terrence Bates intercepted a pass in the fourth quarter that led to Norwalk’s only score.

Shortly after the Bates play, McMillian hit Colby Scoval on a 30-yard pass that resulted with the Grizzlies on the 1 yard line. McMillian ran it in from the one and Spencer Jacobsen ran in the extra point to give Norwalk a 7-0 lead with five minutes to go in the game. The defense held Fairfield to gain the victory.

The last drive Grizzlie defense was led by Caleb Fuller who made three great pass defensive plays in a row and Brendan Brown who made a key tackle. Other defensive stand outs were Anthony Wooten, Chris Cassius, Harrison Hefferan, Joe Laracca and Mike Denke. The Grizzlie ground game was led by Brown, Jacobsen, Bates, Hefferan, McMillian and Scoval. Aaron Post, Brian Gonzalez, Spencer Wellen, Rasheed Tyree and Evan Cybart played well on offense.

The Norwalk PAL Grizzlies are now 2-1 heading into two tough games against New Canaan. This Sunday the Grizzlies head to New Canaan High School to play New Canaan Black at 2:30 p.m. Norwalk is looking to upset a New Canaan team that has not lost one game since starting together in second grade
