How To Get Expedited Pasport Renewal

Saturday, January 14th, 2012

One travel requirement that every country has is that one must have a valid passport to enter or leave their borders. In US, passports holders aged 18 years and above can have their passports renewed when they expire. However, if it expired more than 5 years ago, a new one will have to be applied for. Sometimes, the need to travel may be an emergency situation that requires one travels right away yet their travel documents may have expired. In such circumstances, one needs to get expedited pasport renewal services.

3 Steps

One can do this in one of three ways. The first is to make an application by mail and the other is to make an application at the passport agencies that are in every region. The third alternative is to engage the services of a private expediter. You can get pass port pages faster too.

Forms

For the mail application, one needs to send in the requirements by mail. This includes photos, a completed Form DS-82, the expired document and the required payment. This is send in a padded envelope on which the word expedite should clearly be marked.

Location

The application should be sent by overnight express to reach the national processing center the next day. It then takes two to three weeks to get renewal done. Sometimes, it may take longer if the office is busy at the time you apply such as during holiday seasons which is peak travel period.

Agency

The other alternative is to expedite through a regional office. This is the best option if the document is needed within a fortnight. This is the time it takes to get it if it is renewed this way. It starts with calling the National Passport Information Center and getting an appointment.

Automatic Service

The calls are picked by a system so one can call any day of the week and at any time. It can take time to get through though during peak travel periods such as major holidays. On getting an appointment, one needs to go the agency with a Form DS-82 that has been filled, the fee, passport and photos. The new passport will then be processed within 2 weeks. There is an online directory of the locations and contacts of regional offices.

Private Service

If it is needed within a shorter time, the best option is to go through a private expediter. Most of them also offer visa expediting services. One can also go for this option if they are far from a regional agency. Going through this agency gives the expediter the authority to represent a client at the regional agency. When they get the renewed travel document, it is mailed to the client as part of the service.

Existing Natural Remedies Regarding Acid Reflux

Saturday, January 14th, 2012

It is funny the way in which the simplest of things can make a dramatic change in your life.  I used to suffer with a large amount of acid reflux and heartburn.  Often it felt as if I had a lump in my chest that was on fire.

Obviously I had gone thru the medical route and had been prescribed the usual concoction of antacid tablets and liquids and proton pump inhibitors.  I had roughly worth of medication on my shelf ready to use.

Then as I was scanning the Net I stumbled on the alkaline nature of lemons.  To me this sounded ridiculous ; lemons are acidic and could not possibly help.  What I discovered was that lemons leave behind an alkaline residue in the body that his highly useful to those afflicted with heartburn and acid reflux.

So I started filling up a jug of water and added chopped, fresh, unwaxed lemons to the water to infuse throughout the day.  This I drank during the day along with lemon juice in hot water in the evenings.

The first thing that I noticed was how refreshed I felt first thing in the morning if I drank this fresh lemon water first thing, rather than my common coffee or tea.  At night, especially in hot water, it was also much more relaxing as an end of day drink.
I spotted my heartburn started to ease, the agony in my chest started to ease and my stomach generally started feeling a lot better.  Obviously there were other participatory elements including cutting back on coffee and tea and making other diet changes ; yet the refreshing and healing effect of lemon water was extraordinary.

I did tell the specialist doctor about lemon juice and its alkalising effect on the body ; she had no idea and just assumed that lemons were acidic : as did I.

So now I still have my medicines on the shelf ; all untouched.  I no longer take anything.  Obviously one must go to their own medical professional first before stopping prescribed medications and one should seek advice before making any major dietary change ; For me though I have stopped buying antacids and stomach medicine and now buy bags of fresh, unwaxed lemons.

Nature is a really extraordinary thing ; it has available all that one could ever need for a healthy way of life.
